About me
Hi, I’m Sam.
I’ve been teaching for 24 years, and I adapt each lesson to the person in front of me.
My experience
I completed a PGCE in English, Drama and Media in 2001 and gained Qualified Teacher Status in 2002. Since then, I have taught young people and adults in schools and community settings.
For three years, I marked AQA English Language Paper 2 and completed AQA training each year. That experience helps me explain what exam questions are asking and how marks are awarded.

My approach
Calm, clear lessons
I start by finding out what the learner already understands and where they feel stuck. I break work into manageable steps, explain it plainly and give useful feedback.
Some learners need confidence and routine. Others need focused exam preparation or more challenge. I adjust the pace without losing sight of the goal.
